About Us

Before whisky-online started trading we used to trade under the name Coronation Wines which was first established in 1990.
We originally opened as an average Off Licence, and it was quite clear early on we would have to be different from your local Off Licence as our shop was very small.

After a few months we started to add some odd and unusual items.


One of the first items we added to our window display was the run of the mill miniatures as they were easy to get hold of.

We were surprised how fast they sold and thought it was because they were inexpensive, but soon found that people collected them.

To keep people interested we had to find miniatures, which were a bit more unusual. This was not as easy at first, but we found that by stocking the more unusual bottles collectors started to come to our shop.

We found it as much fun for us to try and find these crazy little bottles as it was for the collector.

Then came the big ones (70cl bottles and decanters) . We had more and more customers coming in asking for the limited edition bottles and rarer decanters, so over the years we started to buy more and more.

We have now expanded and have relocated to our new business premises......
