Speyside Single Malt Scotch Whisky
Distillery Bottling 70cl / 40%
The 1977 12yo offers an interesting gap-bridging window onto the evolving style of Knockando (and indeed much of Scottish whisky production) at the time. Green, waxy and lightly mineral it is also noted for its more greatly accented malty, cereal and buttery aspects. A transitional style of malt that shows how the production changes of the era were starting to be felt in the distillate produced. A fascinating dram for anyone interested in recent whisky history or just in search of an eminently drinkable afternoon style tipple.

Raisin and chocolate aroma and a taste of sherry with dried fruits and nuts and a little spice. Dry almost savoury despite the fruits with wine gums in the finish. (Taken with a good slug of water).
