Tullamore Dew is an historic Irish blended whiskey first introduced in the 19th century and popularised by Daniel E. Williams, who was employed by Bernard Daly at the Tullamore distillery from the tender age of 15, becoming distillery manager in the 1870s and guiding the distillery to great success.
The original Tullamore distillery closed in the 1950s but the Tullamore Dew whiskey brand has had a new lease of life since being purchased by William Grant's in 2010. Grant's built a new distillery for Tullamore's pot still and malt whiskey requirements in 2014 and added a grain distillery in 2017, so the future of this classic Irish whiskey looks rosy.
