Description

Speyside Single Malt Scotch Whisky
Distillery Bottling 35cl / 59.7% / 104.4 Proof

A half-bottle of single cask Balcarron 1979 14-year-old Speyside single malt whisky released in the early 1990s by indie bottlers The Whisky Connoisseur at full cask strength without colouring or chill filtration.

Balcarron was The Whisky Connoisseur's pseudonym for Dailuaine, so this should be richly-flavoured, sturdy 1970s old school Speyside at its finest. This 35cl half-bottle of 14-year-old Balcarron (Dailuaine) 1979 came from single cask 8965, which was bottled in 1993 or 1994 at its extremely potent natural cask strength of 59.7%, also listed as 104.4 UK Imperial proof on the label.
