Kavalan is Taiwan's first and only family-owned whisky maker and distillery. Established in only 2005 Kavalan is the old name of the Yilan county where the distillery is located.

Even though relatively new in whisky terms Kavalan whisky ages quickly due to the warm and humid climate it matures in. This climate, coupled with the distilleries keenness to experiment with different casks give the whiskies they produce a fruit-driven flavour profile.
