A 2004 vintage Bas Armagnac from the prestigious Delord house. Delord is a family company, growing their own grapes, making their own wines and distilling their own eaux-de-vies. This gives the family control over every aspect of their production - a true field to bottle operation.
This 2004 vintage Delord Bas Armagnac was bottled in 2023, and was distilled from a mix of Ugni Blanc, Colombard, Folle Blanche and Baco grapes, which are vinified separately before distillation.
Delord's armagnacs are produced on their own column stills and they only distil to around 54-58% - considerably lower than other producers - allowing a fantastic breadth of flavour.

This is a heavily sherried dram that tastes of dates and raisins with a touch of honey and vanilla. It’s pretty soft and smooth without water but a few drops seem to thicken it up slightly and add hints of caramel. Absolutely gorgeous.
