Highland Single Malt Scotch Whisky Bottled by: Douglas Laing 70cl / 46%
A single cask Glenglassaugh 2015 8-year-old Highland single malt whisky bottled in 2023 without colouring or chill filtration by Douglas Laing for their Provenance series.
This Provenance 8-year-old Glenglassaugh 2015 came from Cask 18680, a single refill hogshead that turned out 351 bottles at the Provenance standard bottling strength of 46%. Glenglassaugh was out of production for a long time, so it's still a thrill for whisky fans of a certain age to see new bottlings of young whisky from this top class Highland distillery. This will be excellent.

This is a heavily sherried dram that tastes of dates and raisins with a touch of honey and vanilla. It’s pretty soft and smooth without water but a few drops seem to thicken it up slightly and add hints of caramel. Absolutely gorgeous.
