A bottle of Michter's famous single barrel 10-year-old Kentucky Straight Rye Whiskey, this is a 2023 release of single barrel L21E1529 and was bottled at 92.8 US Proof, equivalent to 46.4%.
Michter's is a revived brand with a long history, but has existed in its current form using sourced whiskey since the late 1990s. The brand's owners Chatham Imports have recently built two new distilleries in Kentucky and have been distilling since 2015, but these 10-year-old single barrels are of stock distilled to Michter's specifications at a mystery Kentucky distillery.

This is a heavily sherried dram that tastes of dates and raisins with a touch of honey and vanilla. It’s pretty soft and smooth without water but a few drops seem to thicken it up slightly and add hints of caramel. Absolutely gorgeous.
