This particular Orkney single malt has seen both, starting life in a refill hogshead before being finished in an Oloroso sherry cask, and is likely therefore to approach the best of both worlds. It's a 2007 vintage orkney single malt, bottled as a 14-year-old in 2021 at its hearty full natural cask strength of 58.8% by Hannah Whisky Merchants for their Lady of the Glen series.
