The 2024 edition of Antiquary 21-year-old blended Scotch whisky, one of Scotland's most venerable and well-respected historic brands.
Antiquary 21-year-old is bottled only sporadically - this is only the second edition we know of since 2016 - and this one has had a momentous glowup, ditching the angular 'pointy lozenge' bottle shape that has served it since the 1960s in favour of a rather snazzy art deco-style rectangular bottle.
More importantly, the whisky is different too - this 2024 edition of Antiquary 21-year-old is matured entirely in port casks.

This is a heavily sherried dram that tastes of dates and raisins with a touch of honey and vanilla. It’s pretty soft and smooth without water but a few drops seem to thicken it up slightly and add hints of caramel. Absolutely gorgeous.
