Speyside Single Malt Scotch Whisky Bottled by: The Alistair Walker Whisky Company 70cl / 59.0%
Release number 13 from Alistair Walker is a Glen Elgin that was distilled in 2006.
It was aged in a single hogshead #801068 until it was bottled 13 years later at a punchy natural cask strength of 59.0% with a yield of just 249 bottles.
Glen Elgin is not a very well known distillery but you won't forget it if this is your first dram from there. Classic Glen Elgin fruitiness with a nice hint of spice that works so well with the punchy abv.

This is a heavily sherried dram that tastes of dates and raisins with a touch of honey and vanilla. It’s pretty soft and smooth without water but a few drops seem to thicken it up slightly and add hints of caramel. Absolutely gorgeous.
