Introduced for the first time in 2021, this official Glenallachie 30-year-old is a prestige addition to the distillery's core range and represents Master Blender Billy Walker's pick of some of the finest casks from the 1989 and 1990 vintages in Glenallachie's huge hoard of maturing stock.
Glenallachie 30-year-old comes from nine of these casks, most of which were originally Oloroso or Pedro Ximenez sherry hogsheads and puncheons, although there's also a small amount of Chinquapin virgin oak in the mix as well. This will be an epic dram.
As allocations are necessarily small, Glenallachie 30 Year Old will be available to VIP Club members in the below Tiers, on the dates highlighted whilst stocks last.

Colour: Rich Mahogany.
Nose: Fruit cake, raisins and mocha, with honey, cinnamon and coconut.
Palate: Layers of dark chocolate, fruit cake, raisins, honey and figs, with treacle, orange zest and nutmeg.

2 bottles of this lovely single malt were bought as gifts. Sampled a couple of drams from one bottle and it went well above expectations. The quality, integrity, natural colour, cask strength ABV and value-for-money made these bottles 'no-brainers'.

This is a heavily sherried dram that tastes of dates and raisins with a touch of honey and vanilla. It’s pretty soft and smooth without water but a few drops seem to thicken it up slightly and add hints of caramel. Absolutely gorgeous.
