Speyside Single Malt Scotch Whisky Distillery Bottling 70cl / 47.6%
An old bottle of Glenfiddich's famous Snow Phoenix single malt, which was released in 2010 at a pleasingly potent 47.6%. Glenfiddich Snow Phoenix has become something of a cult whisky, in no small part thanks to its excellent origin story.
On the evening of 7th January 2010, several of Glenfiddich's warehouse roofs collapsed under the weight of heavy snow. Clearing the wreckage, Brian Kinsman and the distillery's staff battled sub-zero temperatures to recover as many casks as they could.
At some point during the clearup, the idea appeared to create a no-age-statement single malt using whiskies from the damaged warehouses, and Glenfiddich Snow Phoenix was the result. A limited edition non-chill-filtered cask strength Glenfiddich malt, the casks used for Snow Phoenix varied from 13-year-old to 30-year-old and this is one of the most memorable and collectable drams from the distillery this century.

It’s a fabulous single malt - first discovered in holiday to Scotland. Small batch whisky and is mostly used as a main component of a blended whisky. Lovely smooth taste
The only way to drink an affordable and decent strength Macallan. A strong Sherry influence with a ‘vintage’ feel, akin to a Springbank 21 I drank 25 years ago when you could pick one up without bankrupting yourself
