Dalmore isn't often seen at full strength without colour adjustment and independent bottlings are thin on the ground, so this is a rare treat. This all-natural 17-year-old Dalmore 2005 came from a single refill bourbon barrel that yielded 225 bottles at its natural cask strength of 56.2%, and we don't expect it to be gracing our shelves for long.

Palate: Tart grapefruit flavours give way to soft vanilla pod and sweet honeycombe.
Finish:A medium-bodied finish with tropical fruits and spice.

2 bottles of this lovely single malt were bought as gifts. Sampled a couple of drams from one bottle and it went well above expectations. The quality, integrity, natural colour, cask strength ABV and value-for-money made these bottles 'no-brainers'.

This is a heavily sherried dram that tastes of dates and raisins with a touch of honey and vanilla. It’s pretty soft and smooth without water but a few drops seem to thicken it up slightly and add hints of caramel. Absolutely gorgeous.
