Speyside Single Malt Scotch Whisky Distillery Bottling 70cl / 57.3%
A 1998 18-year-old single cask triple distilled Benriach. Finished in Pedro Ximenez Sherry cask - bottled in 2016 as part of Benriach's batch 13 release.
On the nose, you get sour plums, rum-soaked raisins and a delicate cigar box spice.
The palate is sweet and spicy with crisp oak characters that flow over figs and dates. Hints of ground coffee beans and mixed peel add a perfect contrast to the rich finish.

This is a heavily sherried dram that tastes of dates and raisins with a touch of honey and vanilla. It’s pretty soft and smooth without water but a few drops seem to thicken it up slightly and add hints of caramel. Absolutely gorgeous.
