Island Single Malt Scotch Whisky Distillery Bottling 70cl / 40%
An old bottle of Arran distillery's special edition single malt whisky bottled for the Robert Burns World Federation back in 2001. Arran only began distilling in 1995 so this is not a particularly long-aged malt but it definitely holds up very impressively in terms of quality for a relatively youthful dram.
The Robert Burns World Federation Arran single malt was a limited edition of 1763 bottles at 40% and comes in an impressive wooden box with a certificate of authenticity and a print copy of Burns' famous poem Scotch Drink. This is one of the most difficult to find early Arran prestige bottlings and as such has always been popular with collectors and aficionados.

This is a heavily sherried dram that tastes of dates and raisins with a touch of honey and vanilla. It’s pretty soft and smooth without water but a few drops seem to thicken it up slightly and add hints of caramel. Absolutely gorgeous.
