Something different from Adelphi, a very tempting cask strength Bas Armagnac from the 1994 vintage that spent a full 25 years maturing in a single French oak barrique before bottling at 55%.
As ever, long aged cask strength fruity Bas Armagnac is as good value as you can find if you're looking for a 'malternative', and of course Adelphi have impeccable judgement when it comes to picking a cask, so this should be absolutely cracking stuff.

This is a heavily sherried dram that tastes of dates and raisins with a touch of honey and vanilla. It’s pretty soft and smooth without water but a few drops seem to thicken it up slightly and add hints of caramel. Absolutely gorgeous.
