Islay Single Malt Scotch Whisky Distillery Bottling 70cl / 46%
One of a number of excellent 1986 sherried Bruichladdichs. Drawn from the same parcel of Oloroso sherry casks that would ultimately make up Blacker Still several years later, some would say this 15-year-old is even better with its more youthful edge lending the distillery character more freshness and a more balanced interaction with the beautifully clean sherry. Excellent and under-appreciated stuff.

This is a heavily sherried dram that tastes of dates and raisins with a touch of honey and vanilla. It’s pretty soft and smooth without water but a few drops seem to thicken it up slightly and add hints of caramel. Absolutely gorgeous.
