Speyside Single Malt Scotch Whiskies Bottled by: Gordon & MacPhail 70cl / 43.4%
A single cask Glenlivet 1952 bottled as a 62-year-old in 2014 by Gordon & MacPhail as one of four special limited editions for their Private Collection Ultra series. Cask 69133 was selected by by retired managing director Ian Urquhart, and his son Neil Urquhart and daughter Jenny Houldsworth, both current directors at the company.
A symphony of fruitcake and dark chocolate balanced by lively citrus notes, this 62-year-old Glenlivet 1952 came from a single sherry hogshead cask that yielded just 69 bottles at its natural cask strength of 43.4%, and as such is one of the oldest and rarest Glenlivets ever released.
