Highland Single Malt Scotch Whisky Distillery Bottling 70cl / 57.4%
A UK exclusive single cask sherried Tomatin 2001 20-year-old Highland single malt whisky selected by Master Distiller Graham Eunson and bottled in 2022 at its natural cask strength.
Tomatin's 2001 vintage has evidently been marked by the distillery as a particularly successful one - the first 2001 vintage single cask was bottled way back in 2013 and over a dozen 2001 single casks have been bottled since - many as distillery exclusives, which is always a good sign.
This 20-year-old Tomatin 2001 came from a single Pedro Ximenez sherry butt, cask number 34872, that yielded a generous 678 bottles at a potent 57.4% natural cask strength.

This is a heavily sherried dram that tastes of dates and raisins with a touch of honey and vanilla. It’s pretty soft and smooth without water but a few drops seem to thicken it up slightly and add hints of caramel. Absolutely gorgeous.
