A single cask Blanton's Gold Single Barrel Kentucky straight bourbon whiskey, this particular edition matured in Single Barrel 559 and was bottled in 2023 at the Blanton's Gold standard strength of 103 US proof (a robust 51.5%).
Blanton's is an iconic American whiskey, introduced in the mid-1980s by legendary bourbon master Elmer T. Lee when Buffalo Trace was still known as the George T. Stagg distillery. Blanton's has a strong claim to be the first luxury single barrel bourbon brand and the whiskey is still sourced from Buffalo Trace to this day, although the Blanton's brand itself has been owned by Japanese company Takara Shuzo since 1992.

One of my favourite tipples if you like a heavily sherried dram it's definitely a good buy no brainer for the price but not for the faint of heart. I think I have bought 10 bottles had to be done as it won't be coming around any time soon, hope ican last out.
