St. Lucia Distillers Chairman's Reserve Legacy Rum is a tribute to Laurie Barnard, the distillery's former rum maker, chairman and managing director, who passed away in 2012.
SLD use several different pot and column stills and Chairman's Reserve Legacy is a bravura blend of molasses distillate from both pot and column stills, plus a small proportion of sugar cane juice distilled on a pot still. These rums were aged in ex-bourbon casks for between 5-7.5 years and like all SLD's rums they are naturally sweet and contain no added sugars.
An easy-drinking rum with depth that showcases the art of rum blending, Chairman's Reserve Legacy deserves a place on every rum drinker's shelf.
