Highland Single Malt Scotch Whisky Bottled By: Douglas Laing 70cl / 40.1%
A 1965 Balblair 34-year-old single malt whisky bottled in 2000 by Douglas Laing without colouring or chill filtration in the early days of their acclaimed old Malt Cask series.
This 34-year-old Balblair 1965 was one of 169 bottles yielded from the cask (sadly the number and type were often not included on the label in those days) and was released at its natural cask strength of 40.1%, so they caught this one in the nick of time.
The product price on margin items include VAT which must not be shown separately or reclaimed as input tax. Input tax has not been and will not be claimed in respect of the margin goods sold.

This is a heavily sherried dram that tastes of dates and raisins with a touch of honey and vanilla. It’s pretty soft and smooth without water but a few drops seem to thicken it up slightly and add hints of caramel. Absolutely gorgeous.
