A Bushmills 1975 Millennium Malt single cask bottled in 2000 at 43%.
This Bushmills Millennium Malt was from Cask 316, one of dozens of private casks from the 1975 and 1982 vintages bottled by the distillery at the turn of the millennium, with many of the casks having customised labels for different establishments and individual owners.
These Bushmills 1975 casks were the oldest ever official bottlings of Bushmills when they first appeared and they remain the earliest vintage Bushmills malt whiskey ever released by the distillery. A top class dram from a legendary distillery.
Tried this whiskey in Northern Ireland a few weeks ago with family and decided to buy a bottle ready for the return meeting.

This is a heavily sherried dram that tastes of dates and raisins with a touch of honey and vanilla. It’s pretty soft and smooth without water but a few drops seem to thicken it up slightly and add hints of caramel. Absolutely gorgeous.
