Highland Single Malt Scotch Whisky Distillery Bottling 70cl / 54.6%
A small batch Edradour 25-year-old bottled at cask strength without colouring or chill filtration, this was released early in 2024 in the distillery's famous Ibisco decanters with a picture of the distillery on the label and arrives in a smart, pleasingly chunky wooden box.
This is Batch 1 of Edradour 25-year-old, which was bottled from a micro batch of just two first fill Oloroso sherry butts that yielded 1330 bottles at its natural cask strength of 54.6%. This will be a delightful dram and hopefully the first of many long-aged Edradours to come, but of course the distillery is tiny so stock of these treasures is always going to be in short supply.

This is a heavily sherried dram that tastes of dates and raisins with a touch of honey and vanilla. It’s pretty soft and smooth without water but a few drops seem to thicken it up slightly and add hints of caramel. Absolutely gorgeous.
