Blended Malt Scotch Whisky Bottled By: Matthew Gloag & Son Limited 70cl / 40%
One of series of Famous Grouse vintage blended malt whiskies released between 1999-2004. This particular Famous Grouse blended malt was the first release, assembled from malt whiskies distilled in 1987 and released as a 12-year-old in 1999.
Mostly ignored on release, these vintage Famous Grouse blended malts have recently found their audience, and are now rather popular on the secondary market. A curious example ofa brand extension that succeeded on its own terms but was still a commercial failure, it's great that these whiskies have finally found their time and place.
