A 24-year-old Glen Grant 1992 bottled in 2017 by the Scotch Malt Whisky Society, who christened it 'Honey And Spice Poached Pear' and gave it the SMWS code 9.140.
This 1992 Glen Grant 24-year-old came from a single refill bourbon barrel that yielded 220 bottles at its full natural cask strength of 51.4%. Glen Grant ages beautifully in refill bourbon wood and at this age it seems very likely to be absolutely textbook Speyside.

This is a heavily sherried dram that tastes of dates and raisins with a touch of honey and vanilla. It’s pretty soft and smooth without water but a few drops seem to thicken it up slightly and add hints of caramel. Absolutely gorgeous.
