An old bottle of Glen Ord 12-year-old Highland single malt whisky from the early 2000s, back in the day when one of Diageo's most underrated distilleries was still available in the UK as a single malt.
Glen Ord is often brilliant, rich, full-bodied, well structured highland whisky, and these old 12-year-olds were tweedy, grassy drams with a pleasant malty bite. Sadly, Glen Ord 12-year-old was discontinued and the distillery's whisky is now reserved for the Asian market where it is sold as Singleton of Glen Ord.
This is one of the best whisky’s that you will ever taste, its taken me ages to find a bottle of glen ord as its mainly made for export now so if anyone has a chance to purchase a bottle do so you wont be disappointed (best whisky ever).
