An old bottle of single cask 15-year-old Glenfarclas 2003 Speyside single malt whisky bottled in 2018 without colouring or chill filtration for the distillery's marvellous Family Cask series.
This 2003 Glenfarclas 15-year-old Family Cask came from Cask #2, a single sherry butt that yielded 649 bottles at its exceptionally hefty cask strength of 59.3%. A lovely chestnut-coloured sherried Glenfarclas that will no doubt benefit for a drop of water to open it up.

This is a heavily sherried dram that tastes of dates and raisins with a touch of honey and vanilla. It’s pretty soft and smooth without water but a few drops seem to thicken it up slightly and add hints of caramel. Absolutely gorgeous.
