Speyside Single Malt Scotch Whisky Distillery Bottling 35cl / 43%
An old 35cl half-bottle (350ml) of Glenfiddich Special Old Reserve released at 43% at some point most likely in the 1990s, when the old Pure Malt designation was still allowed on whisky labels. At the time 'Pure Malt' was used indiscriminately by producers to signify either single malt or vatted malt whiskies (the latter now known, regrettably, as Blended Malt).
At any rate, these old Glenfiddichs are very pleasant easy-drinking drams, with the 43% versions like this always preferable to the 40% versions as they have a bit more flavour and oomph. It may only be a half-bottle, but you can be sure it's packing plenty of old school light Speyside character.
The product price on margin items include VAT which must not be shown separately or reclaimed as input tax. Input tax has not been and will not be claimed in respect of the margin goods sold.

This is a heavily sherried dram that tastes of dates and raisins with a touch of honey and vanilla. It’s pretty soft and smooth without water but a few drops seem to thicken it up slightly and add hints of caramel. Absolutely gorgeous.
