An old bottle of Glenmorangie Port Wood Finish, released at 43% in the old 'stripe' presentation that was first introduced shortly after the turn of the millennium.
This was the second mass market iteration of the classic Glenmorangie Port Wood (replacing the old 12-year-old edition) and this version was bottled until 2007, at which point Glenmorangie Port Wood was discontinued and replaced by Glenmorangie Quinta Ruban.
Always one of the most popular of Glenmorangie's classic wood finishes, Glenmorangie Port Wood is fruity and spicy, with notes of plum, raspberry and blackberry alongside Glenmorangie's biscuity, vanilla spiciness.

This is a heavily sherried dram that tastes of dates and raisins with a touch of honey and vanilla. It’s pretty soft and smooth without water but a few drops seem to thicken it up slightly and add hints of caramel. Absolutely gorgeous.
