Island Single Malt Scotch Whisky Distillery Bottling 70cl / 56.1%
An old bottle of 1984 Highland Park 21-year-old bottled back in 2005 from a single cask no. 43 which was selected by the distillery's ambassador Gerry Tosh.
Highland Park 1984 21-year-old Ambassadors Cask was the first in a series of Ambassador-selected casks bottled in the mid-Noughties, with other vintages including 1996, 1979 and 1974. Cask 43 yielded just 270 bottles of this extremely difficult to obtain 1984 Highland Park at its natural cask strength of 56.1%. A unicorn bottling from a great distillery.

This is a heavily sherried dram that tastes of dates and raisins with a touch of honey and vanilla. It’s pretty soft and smooth without water but a few drops seem to thicken it up slightly and add hints of caramel. Absolutely gorgeous.
