A small batch Laphroaig Cairdeas Islay single malt whisky bottled at cask strength for the Feis Ile Islay Festival 2014.
This Laphroaig Cairdeas was a special limited edition of 28254 bottles assembled for the Festival by then-distillery manager John Campbell using whisky matured in first fill ex-bourbon casks and finished in Amontillado sherry hogshead casks, and weighs in at a delectable 51.4%. A must for fans of full strength sherry-finished Islay single malts.

This is a heavily sherried dram that tastes of dates and raisins with a touch of honey and vanilla. It’s pretty soft and smooth without water but a few drops seem to thicken it up slightly and add hints of caramel. Absolutely gorgeous.
