Speyside Single Malt Scotch Whisky Distillery Bottling 75cl / 43%
An old bottling of Macallan 1983 18-year-old Speyside single malt whisky released just after the turn of the millennium. This edition was a 75cl version bottled for the Taiwanese market.
At the time this whisky was released, the Fine Oak range was still a few years away, all of Macallan's official bottlings were from 100% sherry casks, and the vintage 18-year-olds were still very modestly-priced at around £40. This is a rich, dense, robust, leathery, fruity after-dinner Macallan from the tail end of the distillery's imperial era.
The product price on margin items include VAT which must not be shown separately or reclaimed as input tax. Input tax has not been and will not be claimed in respect of the margin goods sold.

This is a heavily sherried dram that tastes of dates and raisins with a touch of honey and vanilla. It’s pretty soft and smooth without water but a few drops seem to thicken it up slightly and add hints of caramel. Absolutely gorgeous.
