An old litre bottle of Old Pulteney Pentland Skerries, which was a travel retail exclusive bottling that appeared in 2013 as part of the distillery's Lighthouse Collection - the Pentland Skerries are a pair of lighthouses between Orkney and the Scottish mainland.
Old Pulteney Pentland Skerries was matured 100% in sherry casks and bottled at a punchy 46%, and as such is a delightful dram showing plenty of rich fruit, chocolate and salted caramel.

This is a heavily sherried dram that tastes of dates and raisins with a touch of honey and vanilla. It’s pretty soft and smooth without water but a few drops seem to thicken it up slightly and add hints of caramel. Absolutely gorgeous.
