Bushmills American Oak is composed of the distillery’s classic triple-distilled single malt whiskey finished in double charred American oak bourbon barrels before being blended with triple-distilled Irish grain whiskey. A cracking dram for American Irish whiskey enthusiasts, this is a great aperitif whiskey from Northern Ireland’s oldest working distillery.

This is a heavily sherried dram that tastes of dates and raisins with a touch of honey and vanilla. It’s pretty soft and smooth without water but a few drops seem to thicken it up slightly and add hints of caramel. Absolutely gorgeous.
