A single cask Glen Elgin 2009 bottled without colouring or chill filtration in 2023 by Little Brown Dog.
This 2009 Glen Elgin was finished in a cask that formerly held delicious French dessert wine Sauternes, which will have contributed some lovely honeyed notes to Glen Elgin's biscuity spirit. Just 267 bottles were yielded from the cask, which was bottled at its natural cask strength of 54.1%. Official Glen Elgins are thin on the ground, so these indie bottlings are always very welcome.

This is a heavily sherried dram that tastes of dates and raisins with a touch of honey and vanilla. It’s pretty soft and smooth without water but a few drops seem to thicken it up slightly and add hints of caramel. Absolutely gorgeous.
