A single cask Tullibardine 1986 Highland single malt whisky bottled without chill filtration in July 2005 and released as part of the distillery’s John Black’s Selection.

The John Black’s Selection was an occasional series of top class casks selected by the Tullibardine distillery manager of the day, the late John Black, who had a fantastic career at distilleries including Ardbeg, Balblair and Scapa and who definitely knew how to pick a cask.  This Tullibardine 1987 came from single cask 697, a sherry hogshead cask that yielded 255 bottles at a mighty natural cask strength of 54.9% and bears the signature of John Black himself.
