Islay Single Malt Scotch Whisky Private Cask 70cl / 52.6%
A single cask Bowmore 1980 23-year-old Islay single malt whisky bottled as a special edition at full cask strength back in 2004.
This 23-year-old Bowmore 1980 came from single cask 5777, bottled a few weeks before its 24th birthday at a natural cask strength of 52.6%, and was an edition of just 236 bottles presented in a handsome gift set with a beautiful copper still decanter. This is one of the forgotten gems of Islay whisky released in the early years of the century, a golden era for single malt whisky aficionados in general and Islay whisky fans in particular.

It’s a fabulous single malt - first discovered in holiday to Scotland. Small batch whisky and is mostly used as a main component of a blended whisky. Lovely smooth taste
The only way to drink an affordable and decent strength Macallan. A strong Sherry influence with a ‘vintage’ feel, akin to a Springbank 21 I drank 25 years ago when you could pick one up without bankrupting yourself
