This Caol Ila was distilled in 2009 and matured in a single refill hogshead #DL13824 before being bottled a decade later at an abv of 48.4% with a yield of just 377 bottles.
Expect peat smoke, seaweed and heather honey.

Official Tasting Notes Nose: Full-blown Islay (on a beach) with a maritime, seaweedy and harbour style. Palate: Opens oily and sweet, leads to summer tar, chimney soot and creosote. Finish: Fishermen's Friends with leads of peat-smoke and ash.

This is a heavily sherried dram that tastes of dates and raisins with a touch of honey and vanilla. It’s pretty soft and smooth without water but a few drops seem to thicken it up slightly and add hints of caramel. Absolutely gorgeous.
