Island Single Malt Scotch Whisky Bottled by: Gordon & MacPhail 70cl / 48.5%
A Scapa 1988 34-year-old Island single malt whisky bottled in 2023 by Gordon & MacPhail without colouring or chill filtration for their splendid Connoisseurs Choice Cask Strength series.
This 34-year-old Scapa 1988 matured in single cask 10586, a refill bourbon barrel that turned out just 87 bottles at a very approachable natural cask strength of 48.5%. Scapa is a distillery that we just don't see enough of and it's great that G&M are still able to bring us these magnificent old casks.

It’s a fabulous single malt - first discovered in holiday to Scotland. Small batch whisky and is mostly used as a main component of a blended whisky. Lovely smooth taste
The only way to drink an affordable and decent strength Macallan. A strong Sherry influence with a ‘vintage’ feel, akin to a Springbank 21 I drank 25 years ago when you could pick one up without bankrupting yourself
