Batch 005 of Tamdhu's sherry-matured Batch Strength didn't last too long, with fans of cask strength sherried Speyside snatching it up in short order.

Here we are then with Batch 006 of what is fast becoming one of those 'if you know, you know' drams, a great value full strength Tamdhu aged in first fill and refill sherry casks and bottled at whatever strength it comes out as, in this case 56.8%. Tasting Notes

Nose: The fresh spiciness of oak, then roasted nuts and warming vanilla.

Palate: Summer berry pudding with crème anglaise. A dash of water brings orange, lemon and even more oak spice.

Finish: Cinnamon spice swells, revealing a long farewell of citrus zest and ripe figs.
