A 1993 Jura single cask bottled at full strength without chill filtration for the short-lived Boutique Barrels series that ran from 2010-2013. This Jura 1993 was a single cask finished in an Oloroso sherry cask and bottled at its natural strength of 54%.
Jura's Boutique Barrels showed a different side to the distillery's official bottlings and deserved a longer run, but low sales (most likely down to the very understated labels and high release prices) saw the series quietly killed off before it was able to realise its potential. Nevertheless, these fine Juras are well worth revisiting.
