Islay Single Malt Scotch Whisky Distillery Bottling 70cl / 40%
An entry-level Laphroaig introduced to reduce stock pressure on the flagship 10 year old. Laphroaig Select is created from a smorgasbord of different cask types including the standard ex-bourbon alongside quarter casks, PX sherry-seasoned hogsheads and Oloroso butts, among others.
The assemblage is then finished in virgin American oak casks for six months and the result is a youthful, rather lighter style of Laphroaig than drinkers of the Quarter Cask or 10 year old would recognise. A beginner's Laphroaig.

In the nose it is very interesting and complex but when you taste it’s just horrible even if you add a bit of water… expected a lot more from a miltonduff
