A bottle of Daftmill 2009 15-year-old Fife Strength Lowland single malt whisky bottled in 2024 without colouring or chill filtration. This is the third release by Daftmill of their official 15-year-old, the oldest of their core range bottlings.
Bottled at a very hearty 'Fife Strength' of 56.3%, this 15-year-old Daftmill 2009 came from a small batch of first fill ex-bourbon barrels, but with the novel addition of a Pedro Ximenez sherry butt, the first time a batch of the 15-year-old has included any sherry-matured whisky. A delicious aged Daftmill showing the distillery's trademark clean, biscuity barley sugar notes enhanced by hints of dark fruit from the sherry cask.
