Macallan 55 Year Old Lalique

Speyside Single Malt Scotch Whisky Distillery Bottling 70cl / 40.1% After the success of the first release, the second Lalique edition, this time bottled at a minimum of 55 years old, picked up the gauntlet laid down by its predecessor and ran with it. This time only 420 bottles were produced and the whisky again contains stock significantly older than the stated 55 years. The whisky represents the very best of long aged Macallan, a depth of flavour, complexity and integration between wood and distillery character that very few spirits every achieve. The packaging again was remarkable, showcasing clear links to the previous edition while revealing a stunning new aesthetic. Another great masterpiece by Macallan and Lalique that led to a redefinition of what the top end of whisky bottling could truly be and achieve.
