A tantalisingly mysterious Undisclosed Speyside single cask single malt whisky from the 2005 vintage bottled as a 17-year-old in 2023 by Signatory Vintage for their Cask Strength Collection.
This Signatory Vintage Undisclosed Speyside 2005 17-year-old came from Cask #32, a first fill Oloroso sherry butt and has been bottled without colouring or chill filtration, yielding a total of 459 bottles at a robust cask strength of 57.7%.
This is a very interesting bottling, particularly as it's not just Undisclosed Speyside, but Undisclosed Speyside (M). That means we're probably looking at Mannochmore, Miltonduff, Mortlach or Macallan. All great options, and of course only one of those distilleries usually has an issue with indie bottlings, so speculation will no doubt be rife...
