Another beautiful old bottling of NAS Glenlivet from the early 1950s.
This bottle came from a cellar in Yorkshire, the records of which indicated it was put into the cellar in 1955 so the bottling hails from early-mid 1950s.
It was bottled at 80 proof. Fortunately, we've tasted this one, it's a hugely mineral, waxy, sooty, oily and cereal driven old-style dram absolutely alive with flavour.

This is a heavily sherried dram that tastes of dates and raisins with a touch of honey and vanilla. It’s pretty soft and smooth without water but a few drops seem to thicken it up slightly and add hints of caramel. Absolutely gorgeous.
