A 2023 bottling of Blanton's Original Single Barrel, chosen from the greatest casks in Buffalo Trace distillery's inventory. This is Single Barrel #1549, which was dumped in July 2023 and bottled at the Blanton's Original standard strength of 93 US Proof (46.5%).
Blanton's Original was launched in 1984 as arguably the first luxury prestige single barrel bourbon range, and is often credited with helping to revive the flagging American whiskey market. These Blanton's Original single barrels are always delicious sipping drams and are a must-try for anyone exploring the bourbon category.
I haven't managed to taste it yet as I am waiting for a special occasion. But the bottle was beautifully presented. It has an amazing metal horse topper and the glass bottle feels very strong and is also a beautiful shape. The box came in great condition and was packaged very securely. I was surprised how quickly it was delivered. I'd recommend this whisky and this website to everyone.
