Islay Single Malt Scotch Whisky Distillery Bottling 50cl / 56%
A lovely old 50cl bottle of 15-year-old Bruichladdich 1989 bottled at the distillery in 2004 from a single cask #160 with the back label bearing the message 'In continuation of the celebration of the re-opening of The Bruichladdich Distillery.'
Cask 160 of Bruichladdich 1989 seems to have been a multi-purpose Valinch cask - there are a few different Valinch editions from this cask, so it was most likely available for hand bottling in the distillery gift shop for a few months over the end of 2003 and beginning of 2004. The cask itself was a refill sherry hogshead filled in February 1989 and this Valinch edition was bottled in March 2004 at its cask strength of 56%.
Please note that the tin for this Bruichladdich Valinch is showing signs of rust.
